Base material: All foils for the Olympic Nacra 17 class are made of carbon pre-preg. Thanks to our unique ‘one-shot’ production process, we manufacture all our continuous fiber foils, cured under vacuum in our Autoclave.
The specially developed production method creates a hydrofoil that cures in one go, without glue joints and including internal stiffening ribs. The result is a super-strong hydrofoil that is as light as possible. All Nacra 17 hydrofoils are finished with high-quality paint finish. The pre-cutting process of laminates is done by our automated pre-preg cutting machine of the Zünd brand. This process ensures excellent product quality and constant product weight.
